Los Angeles police are asking for the public’s help in locating a man they are calling a “dangerous sex offender” who was believed to be somewhere in the area of Van Nuys Boulevard, also known as the Van Nuys Corridor.
The parolee at large is John Howard Marble, 49, a registered child-sex offender who police say removed his GPS monitoring device at his residence in the 10900 block of Sutter Avenue in Pacoima. Volunteers, cadets and employees from the Marysville (CA) Police Department handed out nearly a thousand fliers on the east side of town recently warning residents about a sex offender recently released from prison.
James Dennis Barrie, 49, was convicted on charges including rape with force/violence, and burglary. The crimes were committed in East Marysville in the mid-1990s according to the notice.
“He is a full-fledged stranger rapist, and he’s violent,” said MPD Crime Scene Investigator Lynda Cummings, who oversees the city’s sex offender registration program. Read the rest of this entry »

The Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force is offering a reward for information which would lead to the capture of fugitive Maurice Gregory.

Gregory is wanted by the U.S. Marshals and the Cuyahoga County Sheriff’s Office on charges of failing to register as a sexual offender. Gregory was convicted of rape and sexual battery with violence specifications in 1993. Gregory’s victim was 13-year-old female who he did not know. Since his release from prison, Gregory has continually failed to verify and register his address with Cuyahoga County. Read the rest of this entry »

U.S. Marshals believe a dangerous sexual predator could be in Rhode Island.

Glenn Richard Burch, Jr. is wanted for failing to register as a sex offender in Florida.

He was last seen in Pennsylvania, where he was heard saying that was headed to Rhode Island to do railroad or auto body work.

Burch also uses the alias Raymond Clarke.

He’s described as a transient and an auto body specialist who always works for cash.

Investigators say Burch is also a heavy smoker and drinker who frequently gets kicked out of bars for stealing.

U.S. marshals are looking for a convicted child sex offender who has slipped away from authorities and poses a risk to area youth.

Douglas Bushnell, 38, was required to register as a sex offender in Montgomery County (VA), but he moved from a homeless shelter in Rockville without telling authorities. A warrant was issued in January.

Marshals would like the public’s help in tracking down Bushnell and putting him back into the judicial system. The U.S. Marshals Service places a priority on finding convicted sex offenders who have absconded, particularly child sex offenders, said Matt Burke, supervisor of the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force. Jerold C. Dunning is wanted for his alleged involvement in lewd activities with a child under the age of 16, in St. Petersburg, Florida from 1996 to 1998. Rex C. Reichert is wanted for the alleged sexual abuse of two juvenile males, ages fourteen and ten, over a two-year period at his apartment in Collegeville, Pennsylvania. Dr. Zahidul Islam is wanted for the alleged sexual assault of a female patient at a major hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on October 3, 1996. Clifford is wanted for the alleged sexual assaults of eleven victims from 1998 through 2002. Clifford was a licensed chiropractor who operated an office in Carnelian Bay, California, for several years. In January of 2002, he was arrested by the Placer County Sheriff’s Department for sexually assaulting several of his patients, including a juvenile.
